As we gear up for Father’s Day next weekend, a great way to do an inexpensive gift with love it to create a CD mix (or back in my old school days it’s what we called a “mix tape”). When PD2 and I were dating we used to make each other mixes all the time and it was so fun to see what each of us had picked out for the other!
The best you can do for your awesome guy is probably pick out songs he loves, but here are some suggestions with this week’s playlist that I know are popular among guys. So including one of them could be your ticket to a smile of on Father’s Day. Or at least they could be ones to practice on until your next family game of Guitar Hero.
Master of Puppets – Metallica (this is a classic that I think is a basic listening requirement for being born a boy or something)
99 Problems – Jay-Z (Huzzzah! Literally my guy talks about Jay-Z’s swaggah like all the time)
7 Nation Army – White Stripes
Friends in Low Places – Garth Brooks
My Way – Frank Sinatra
Happy Father’s Day! And hopefully it’s music to your ears.
